Decking Cleaner
Citrasafe is a safe but very powerful concentrated cleaner and degreaser formulated with natural solvents specifically for cleaning, enhancing and brightening all types of wooden decking and patios. Citrasafe is water soluble so it can be diluted with water which makes it very economical to use and it is ideal for thoroughly cleaning all types of wooden decking.
It will clean stubborn stains from weathered surfaces and quickly removes bird droppings, tree sap, greases, food deposits, slime and discolouring caused by atmospheric pollution. This product is ideal for cleaning all types of unsightly green organic growth and slime from decking and it is also useful to use as a strong degreaser for removing fats and greases left on hard surfaces in barbecue areas. Citrasafe uses natural citrus oils and is fully biodegradable producing an environmentally safe and effective product while still outperforming most alternative traditional cleaners and degreasers.

Why is Citrasafe so effective in cleaning and degreasing?
Citrasafe contains an ingredient called D-Limonene which is a natural solvent derived from the peel of citrus fruits, particularly orange peel. The process involves extracting the oils under pressure and condensing which then produces an extremely effective and natural degreasing solvent.
These natural solvents are in many ways superior to traditional degreasing solvents as they are not only biodegradable and environmentally friendly, but they also give a much improved performance to many heavy duty cleaning and degreasing tasks when compared to traditional cleaning solvents.

This product is particularly useful in cleaning surfaces where the natural build-up of greases and other contaminants have left the area slippery, creating hazardous walking conditions. Wooden decking when wet tends to become particularly dangerous due to a combination of mildew, mould and algae, which together with greases and atmospheric pollution can create hazardous, slippery conditions, but Citrasolve with it's unique blend of natural solvents and surfactants will cut though all of the organic soiling leaving the surface clean and safe.

How to use:
Prior to starting it's a good idea to clear away any furniture and planters from the decking. Brush away and remove any loose debris, leaves, moss or algae. We always recommend testing Citrasafe on a small area first to check the required dilution rate for optimum performance.
Citrasafe can be diluted with cold or warm water prior to application.
Dilute according to the degree of soiling up to 1 : 10. For particularly difficult areas dilute at the rate of approximately 1 part product to 4 parts water.
Citrasafe can be applied by trigger spray, pouring or mopping onto the surface. Leave on the surface for a few minutes to break down contaminants then brush or agitate with a stiff brush to remove ingrained dirt and grime. Use a pressure washer to hose away the dirt working from one end of the decking to the opposite end. If you don't have a pressure washer available then simply wash thoroughly with a garden hose using clean water.
Allow to dry completely.
